Lovely day, pretty good Belle :)

Well I ran out to the barn this morning, since I know I have to sleep today for work....Belle has a big long tooth mark on her back, I clipped it and cleaned it up....I *know* it was that other Arab mare...she's a real sneak attacker...oh well....the hair will grow back!

Was really dancing on the ties so back to the hard schooling.....got through to her pretty quickly that she didn't want to be ye haaing all over heck and creation, thank goodness!

Took her out to the round pen and we worked on softer trot to canter departs, instead of the screaming full throttle ones she really likes when she free longes haha! Fresh baby! She cooled out well and behaved enough so that a hand graze was in order.....looking good weightwise, her attitude is bright and perky...and her winter coat is coming in with a vengeance now. More hopefully tommorrow!

Here is an example of the full throttle behavior I am talking about....thankfully today with some direction changes she really started to just step off in a nice, smooth canter instead of BLASTOOO! haha.

Cold and Blustery today..will be brrr brrr!

Well it's so cold and blustery today I may hibernate in the house haha..

Not too bad today! Belle seems to have remembered her schooling session on Sunday and didn't dance around on the ties much at all! I decided to free longe AFTER she got groomed, because I really wanted to test her willingness to behave herself...NOT bad! Only had to correct her once....every time I said backkkk when she thought about moving she did it and stopped immediately when I said WHOOOOAAA.

She was good, not too fresh free longing either, just listening to me pretty well, even with the camera in my hand! So I have some new B pics to post to the Clip Clop today!

After her exercise I hand grazed her, boy was she happy about that! Enjoy the new pics, more coming!

The Clip Clop Diaries

Well, the Princess Belle got a day off today, blurgh..cold, blustery and rainy...blechh..hopefully more to report tommorrow!

Sassy but a beautiful Ambassadoress today!

Well Little Miss Full of herself, had ants in her pants today, got to be free longed BEFORE I groomed her, then she was dancing all over the ties, acting up, being a snot!

Had to school on standing on the ties...which after about five minutes seemed to work!

Then a couple ladies looking for the barn owner came over and chatted with us about how friendly, sweet, darling Belle was...so we hammed around for them, they loved it! She's a great ambassador for Arabians, loves loves loves being ooh'd and ahh'd over and will just turn on the charm for adolation....*sigh* did I mention, Miss Belle is a LITTLE high maintenance?

If my mare was a human she'd be a gossip columnist or a Princess haha!

Here is Belle in Winter of 04, she was in Reining training with the talented Lee Mancini for a year and a half...She took her career seriously, but seemed to us to be more suited to a ammy rather then a professional..!

She does have a wicked little turnaround when she wants to use it :)
